Jo Ann Whitten was born June 21, 1936 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Romas Rowland and Ealie Armour Rowland.
She was a longtime member of the Range Hill Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. She served the church in the nursery, sang in the choir and was on several committees. Jo Ann kept several special children and they were like grandchildren to her. When she was able, Jo Ann loved gardening.
Mrs. Whitten departed this life on February 15, 2021 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 7 Months, 25 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Regina Rampy and husband Cliff of Memphis, TN; a son, Anthony Harris of Memphis, TN; a brother, Bill Rowland and wife Rosemary of Oakland, TN.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitten was preceded in death by her first husband, Broyce Harris; and second husband, A L Whitten.
