Funeral services for Lisa Lajaun Newby, 56 of Corinth, MS are set for Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home East Chapel with interment in Booneville City Cemetery. Bro. James Voyles will officiate the service. Public visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 5 PM – 8 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home East Chapel. Born May 18, 1964 in Booneville, MS, Lisa passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was a retired piano tuner for Wurlitzer Corp and a member of Mission of Hope Church. Lisa lived life to the fullest. She was always ready for a good time camping at the river, listening to music by a campfire and spending time with friends and family. She was always up for anything and everything she did in life was all or nothing. Her grandchildren, family and friends were the center of her world. Lisa is survived by her husband, Marcus Newby of Corinth, MS; son, Landon Braudway of Corinth, MS; daughters, Lana Boone Sheffield and Wardell of Corinth, MS and Laken Braudway of Corinth, MS; 10 grandchildren, Cayden Crum, Kylen Crum, Kensley Sheffield, Jace Weber, Brooke Weber, Skyler Michaels, Leilani, Tucker Boone, Kelsey Floyd and Allie Floyd; brother, Michael Curtis and wife Serita of New Albany, MS; sisters, Jodie Purvis and husband Britt of Booneville, MS, Sherry Swindle of Booneville, MS; daughter-in-law, Lakeshia Floyd of Booneville, MS; parents-in-law, Ronnie and Melissa Newby; sisters-in-law, Tabitha Curtis and Charity Newby; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Brandon Boone; father, Alton Curtis; mother, Peggy Tesseneer; brother, Samuel Curtis and sisters, Tammy Bain and husband Brian and Tina Faye Curtis.
