Gwen retired to enjoy being with her mother and her family. Her family was her greatest joy. She leaves behind so many that loved her. She will be sorely missed.

A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to First United Methodist Church, Athens, Tanner Methodist Church, Tanner, AL or Hospice of Limestone County.
