ALEA Arrest Jackson County Man In November 2020 Traffic Death

JACKSON COUNTY-On Sunday, February 21 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency arrested a suspect in a fatal crash in November:

“Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) have arrested a driver involved in a fatal crash that occurred November 17, 2018.

Marty Alan Outlaw, 57, of Section was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry that left the roadway and struck a tree. His passenger, Tina Marsee Gifford, 45, also of Section, was not using a seat belt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Jackson County 19 near Jackson County 419, approximately five miles east of Section. Outlaw was injured and transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. Speed was a contributing factor to the crash.

On Sunday, February 21, Outlaw was arrested on a grand jury indictment for criminally negligent homicide and transported to the Jackson County Jail pending trial. Nothing further is available at this time.”
