Elizabeth Owen Gargis Keel, 97, of Moulton, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tony Datuin officiating and Brad Crisler, Speaker. Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Town Creek and worked many many years in the Restaurant Industry in Town Creek and was well known and loved by everyone that knew her. She was a member of Town Creek United Methodist Church. Elizabeth loved her family trips to the beach and looked forward to it every year as long as she was able. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her church family. She was very blessed to be very close to her siblings, many of who lived to be in their 90’s and was also very blessed to have her younger sister; Helen Bowers, who has been by her side until the end.

Survivors include her three daughters; Glenda Latham, Marcella Crisler (Ussery) and Ritza Brumley (David) and one son; Roy Gargis, six grandchildren; Melissa Smith Carey, Bradley Crisler (Dawn), Amber Brumley, Lori Brackin (Sam), Janna Gargis and Kasi Steele (Corey), Fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and one sister; Helen Bowers.

She was preceded in death by her son; Homer Lee Gargis, one grandson; Jeffrey Scott Crisler, five brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Jim Brumley, David Brumley, Andrew Crisler, Roc Carey, Sam Brackin, Alex Brackin, Tomas Gargis, Mateo Gargis, Maytas Gargis and Isaac Gargis.

The family extends special thanks to Lawrence County Home Health, NARCOG, and Compassion Home Care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Town Creek United Methodist Church, 22520 AL Hwy 101, Town Creek, AL 35672
