John David Bryant, 92, of Lynn entered into rest on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Bryant was born on March 5, 1928 in Double Springs, Alabama.  John loved music and was a member of The White Oak Mountain Boys for many years.  One of the most popular songs he wrote was “Love, Please Come Home”.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Brother Tim Box will officiate. Burial will be at Lynn Cemetery.

John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marylou Bryant; 3 sons, David, Barry  and Stanley; stepdaughters, Debra Hughes and Betty (Steve) Rawls; stepson, Robert Craig (Sherri) Cockrell; sister, Liz Buckner; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Eugene Bryant and Cora Bryant and many brothers and sisters.
