FLORENCE-The City of Florence has been designated a “Tree City USA” for the 34th consecutive year by the National Arbor Day Foundation. Earning this distinction was a City-wide effort by the Florence Street, Electricity, Parks & Recreation Departments, Florence Housing Authority, the Mayor and City Council, Florence Tree Commission, and Urban Forestry team.
On Thursday, February 25 the Arbor Day Celebration continues with an Arbor Day Tree Giveaway. At the pavilion at Deibert Park 100 Dogwood seedlings will be given away from 10:00AM until 2:00PM to help celebrate Abor Day. Please wear a mask and social distance when you come for your seedling.
