 Floie Mae Poole, 77, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Red Bay Hospital.  She was born in Tishomingo County, MS to Johnny and Annie Mae Wells Slayton.  She was a seamstress and was a charter member of Fairview Holy Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 21, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Robert Wood and Scott Bridges officiating.  Burial will be in Belmont Memorial Gardens.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by six children-Sharon Smith (Billy), Johnny Poole (Jennie), Janie Congdon (Michael), Jennifer Fair (Donald), Kenny Poole (Kary) and Amanda Bridges (Scott); ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two brothers-J.W. Slayton (Janice) and Gary Slayton (Debra) and two sisters-in-law-Debbie Slayton and Charlotte Slayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband-Kenneth Poole; her parents; four brothers-Phillip Slayton, Ricky Slayton, Billy Doyle Slayton and infant brother and three sisters-Jetty Lee Slayton, Bobby Nell Slayton and Joe Nell Slayton; a great-granddaughter-Virginia Pennington and a great-grandson-Miles Branham.

Pallbearers will be Cody Congdon, Nathan Bridges, Ben Bullard, Brian Speers, Justin Slayton and Jason Slayton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Gentle and David Shumaker.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
