Snow Forecast Updated To Winter Storm Warning For Northwest Alabama

NORTH ALABAMA-On Wednesday, February 17 the National Weather Service upgraded the Winter Storm watch to a winter Storm Warning.

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY

.Moderate to heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total 
snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of
around one tenth of an inch.

This Winter Storm Warning is for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin AL, Lawrence and
Limestone counties from 4 PM this afternoon to 6 AM CST Thursday.

IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute.
