James Wilson “Super” Vandiver

James Wilson “Super” Vandiver, age 79, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, February 05, 2021 at Russellville Hospital.

Super loved to fish when he was able. He also loved working in the gardens, giving away much of his produce he had grown. He leaves many memories with his family.

The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 09, 2021 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Jim Poss officiating. Burial will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery in the Mountain Star Community.

He was preceded in death his parents, Drewy Clay & Arilla (Suddith) Vandiver; siblings, Annie Ruth Cook, Marie Holland, Katherine Hulett, Ray Vandiver, Clay Vandiver, and Johnny Vandiver.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 43 years, Glenda Faye Vandiver; children, Laurie Scott and Jeff Vandiver; grandchildren, Shawn Vandiver, Heather LeMoine (Blake), Brittany Parrish (Alex); great-grandchildren, Jace, Jaxon, Memoree, Axel; brothers, David Vandiver, Tim Vandiver; sister, Diane Vandiver; and numerous nieces & nephews.

The pallbearers will be Shawn Vandiver, Alex Parrish, Jack Lee, Scott Simpson, and Justin Simpson. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Pierce.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks and appreciation to the nurses & staff of Russellville Hospital, and especially to the ICU. Also a special thanks to Dr. Manord for the love and care of our family.
