Joshua Lane Bonds Joshua Lane Bonds, 39, died too soon on Sunday January 31, 2021 in a rappelling accident in South Pittsburg, TN. A memorial service was held at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville, AL.

Joshua is a native Alabamian, born in Birmingham on March 19, 1981 to mother Alana and father Danny Joe Bonds. He was a beloved brother to Benjamin Tyler and Daniel Justin Bonds and was a great uncle to Autumn, Libby, and Drake Bonds.

Joshua spent his many hours, working hard and playing hard. He loved his pets, all seven of them, and spoiled them much like one would spoil children. They were his pride and joy. Joshua spent relentless hours and most of his pastime hiking outdoors with them. His dogs loved him unconditionally and Joshua found such peace around them.

Once he began to find his entity in life, he found his second love: the great outdoors and caving. SCCI gave him the direction he needed to pursue his newfound passion and his pathway narrowed towards exciting weekend adventures. Suddenly, he met many new friends and learn so many great and wonderful things from so many professionals. He led a full life, to which I am grateful to have had with him. A deep void has been created in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be profoundly missed
