Dolores A. Steerzer, age 90, of Hamilton AL passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at NMMC-Hamilton. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on Sunday, November 16, 1930 to
Earl Brazelton and Anne Beattie Brazelton.
Dolores worked until 84 years of age and loved every day she worked in the elementary school, whether it was in the classroom or library. In all of her 90 years you never heard her complain about anything. I think I cansafely say that everyoneshe came to know loved her sweet, kind nature. If you ever wanted to feel good about youself, all you had to do was know her. She would brag about you in a heartbeat. We know that she is among those who have gone before her, and I am quite sure that they are welcoming her with great joy and celebration. Although we know she is in a wonderful place, our hearts ache because we can not see her; however, I know that we all we have to do is call on her, and she will be with us in spirit. So Mom, listen for us when we call your name. We are sending our love, hugs, and kisses until we meet again.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 06, 2021 from 12-2 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Jeff Armbester officiating and burial at Barnesville Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Steerzer; parents, Earl and Anne Brazelton; brother, Edward Brazelton.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Rick Steerzer (wife, Karon), Kirk Steerzer, Scott Steerzer, Lisa Steerzer; grandchildren, Regan Kralovec (husband, Matt), Grant Steerzer; ; great-grand children, Ben Kralovec, Katherine Kralovec; brother, Daniel Brazelton; special friends, Martha Holloway, Lawanda Cagle, Melissa Howerton, Marie Hargett; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
