Faye Chittam Baker, age 81 of Athens, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Baker was born March 11, 1939 to William R. Brown and Laura Mae McMullins Brown.

Mrs. Baker was graduate of Athens Bible School and Athens State. She was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. She was an avid gardener. She loved her family, her friends and the Lord.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa VanHoozer (Jeff); sister, Naomi Holland (Charles); grandchildren, Amy Hargrove (Pete), Justin VanHoozer (Jessica) and Tyler VanHoozer; great grandchild, Andy Price Hinkle; brother-in-law, Bobby Chittam (Myra); several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her 1ST husband, Eugene Chittam; 2nd husband, Joe Baker; daughter, Myra Collier; grandson, Andy Hinkle; father, William Brown; mother, Laura Mae Brown.

Graveside services for Mrs. Baker will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery with Guy McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff VanHoozer, Justin VanHoozer, Tyler VanHoozer, Pete Hargrove, Evan Salter and Ken Salter. Honorary pallbearers are Andy Price Hinkle, Keith Hinkle, Wes Holland, Joshua Salter, C.W. Holland, Dan Baker and Byron Baker.
