Virginia Atkinson Parmer age 81of Guin, AL passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.
Born August 1, 1939 in Lamar County, AL she is the Daughter of the late Joe Brooks and Minnie Frye Atkinson and the Wife of the late Rev. Ottis Parmer. She had lived in Guin most of her life and was a member of the Antioch Free Will Baptist Church. She was a avid Alabama Fan and baby set children in her home.
She is survived by 2 Daughters, Donnia Gilliland (Keith) of Guin, AL, Tresia Mize (John) of Trussville, AL, A Son, Keith Parmer of Guin, AL, 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers, Danny Atkinson (Jackie) of Guin, AL and Ronald Atkinson of Winfield, AL. Several Nieces and Nephews and a special fur friend, Cricket.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Her Husband, Rev. Ottis Parmer, 2 Sisters, Betty Jo Clark and Linda Harris and a Brother, Terry Brooks Atkinson.
Services held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Bro. Bobby Duncan officiating.
