Mrs. Peggy Ruth Weaver Mrs. Peggy Ruth Fussell Weaver, age 86; passed away in the afternoon of Sunday – January 17, 2021 at her daughter’s Residence surrounded by family.
Mrs. Weaver was born on March 7, 1934 in Ridgley, Tennessee to the late Samuel J. Fussell and Pearl Putman Fussell. She was a resourceful homemaker whom taught her children how to live, laugh and love life. Mrs. Weaver was devoted to God, her husband, the church and their ministry. She had a sense of humor that brought joy to everyone in every situation. She was known as “The Pegster” and touched so many lives through her antics, zest for life and unmitigated compassion.
Mrs. Weaver leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce her life; children, Lynn Hyatt (Tony) of Cleveland, Alabama, Myra Weaver and Belinda Bowman of Arab, Alabama, Jimmy Weaver of Carrolton, Georgia, Susie Copeland of Joppa, Alabama and Sharon Kirby (Ken) of Hartselle, Alabama; grandchildren, Jeff Scott, Sam Hyatt, Adam Hyatt, Robert Law, John Murphy, P.J. Murphy, Larry Weaver, Tyler Kirby, Taylor Newton, Trevor Weaver, Jeff Weaver and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved parents, Mrs. Weaver is at last reunited with her beloved husband Jim Weaver; son, David Weaver; granddaughter, Barbie Law; grandson, Aaron Murphy; great grandson, Drake Hyatt; daughter-in-law, Sandy Weaver and son-in-law, Steve Copeland.
A Graveside Service and Interment will take place on Tuesday – January 19, 2021 at the Highland Baptist Church Cemetery in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama at 11:00 a.m. with Ken Kirby and Mike Whitt, officiating.
Pallbearers escorting Mrs. Weaver to her final resting place will be: Jeff Scott, Adam Hyatt, Larry Weaver, Tyler Kirby, Michael Newton and Ken Kirby.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the loving staff of The Cottages Assisted living Facility, Summerford Rehab and Hospice of North Alabama for the care and support that was provided to Peggy Weaver and the Family.
