Shirley Elkins Johnson, age 84 of Lynn, Alabama passed away January 17, 2021 at her home. She was a member of Lynn Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Mike Pendley officiating. Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reid Elkins, Kenny Elkins, Jr., Phillip Elkins, Jake Elkins, Jackson Elkins and Steve Stott.
Ms. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Cindy Johnson (Charles) Diehl; brother, Johnathan R. (Donna) Elkins; grandson, Garrett Cade Diehl; nieces and nephews, Denise Simmons, Dr. Malcom (Kelly) Simmons, Cheryl S. (Jason) Baird, Christopher (Mary) Simmons, Judy E. (Steve) Stott, Phillip (Sherry) Elkins, Darrell (Raina) Elkins, Lashonda E. (Randell) Muck, Kenny (Mary Hannah) Elkins, Jr., Reid (Lori Ann) Elkins and Katie E. (Alex) Corley; 16 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great great nieces and nephews; sister in laws , Barbara Elkins and Jo Elkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian Thomas and Susie Lee Elkins; husband, McKinley Johnson; and siblings, Geraldean E. (Dr. Earl) Simmons, Wayne (Marie) Elkins, Tommy Elkins and Kenny (Jo) Elkins, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Lynn Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
