Helen Marie Gasaway, 68, died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. She was born in Arkansas and was retired from housekeeping at the Iuka Hospital. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 19, 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS with Bro. Ray Guin, Bro. Keith Thomas and Bro. Doug Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband – Gordon Gasaway; three sons – Hugh Parsons, Robert Lee Borden (Diane) and Bobby Joe Borden (Jeanette); three step-sons – William Gasaway (Liz), Terry Borden (Wendy) and Michael Borden; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren and one brother – Larry Barrett (Julie).
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hugh Alford Parsons, Sr. and Johnny Lee Borden, one sister, Pat Barrett and three brothers, Jim Barrett, Clyde Barrett and Gene Barrett.
Pallbearers will be Bill Sheffield, Bill Jones, Gary Gasaway, James Gasaway, Roy Adams and Korey Gasaway. Honorary pallbearers will be Elton Warren, Larry Jones, James Thomas, Donnie Gasaway and Scotty Gasaway.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 1:30-2 p.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery.
