Floyd Waldo Stevick Floyd Waldo Stevick, 89, Chief of Recruitment and Placement for the Department of Civil Defense, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Don Richey officiating. Burial will follow in Morrow Cemetery with military honors provided Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born December 5, 1931 in Des Lacs, North Dakota, he was the son of the late William E. Stevick and the late Sarah Jane Williams Stevick. Mr. Stevick served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an entrepreneur and has been involved in many jobs in Maury County. Mr. Stevick was a member of Trinity Family Church in Columbia.

Survivors include his wife, whom he married April 20, 1983, Marianne Kincade Stevick of Columbia; children, Cindee (Randolph) Juel of Mason, Washington; Rand Stevick of Puyallup, Washington; Hillary (Paul) Whiteside of Hampshire; Michelle Hughes of Duck River; grandchildren, Daniel Juel, Matthew (Ami) Juel, Tommy (Alex) Juel, Laura (Chance) McCrary, Weston (Breonna) Whiteside, Kirk Whitside; and great grandchildren, Carson Ray McCrary, Edison Juel, and  Kinsley Juel.

Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
