Lorene Steele, age 94 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, Lorene was born on April 1, 1926 to the late, Jace G. and Willie Grider Powers. She was a dedicated homemaker, and loved to fill her free time quilting, sewing, crocheting, and working on her garden. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Steele; son, Jimmy Steele; daughter in law, Loretta Steele; and granddaughter Megan Elyse Steele. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Steele of Wartrace; David (Amanda) Steele of Muscle Shoals, AL; daughter, Frieda (Burks) Bennett of Decherd; grandchildren, David Bennett, Jason Bennett, Caleb Steele, Joe Whitworth; great-grandchildren, Olivia Bennett, Emily Bennett, McKenzie Rose Bennett.
