John Ronald Kendrick, 87, of Tuscumbia Alabama USA, shed his earthly tent in the early hours of Monday, January 11, 2021, while surrounded by the love of his family and the prayers of his friends.

Ronald was born on January 18, 1933 in Albertville Alabama and is preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Mae and James Willie Kendrick. Ronald was one of three children; a twin brother, the late Donald Kendrick; and a younger sister, Gayel Owens.

Lovingly known as “Hun” to his late wife Jewel, “daddy” to his four children, “granddaddy” to his grand and great-grandchildren, “uncle Ronald” to a myriad of nieces and nephews and “Mr. Kendrick”, “Ron” or “Brother Ron” to a host of others, Ron lived a life completely devoted to the Lord, spreading love and grace to everyone he met. He lived as he taught; with integrity. He loved as God loved him; abundantly.

Ronald is survived by his children, James Ralph Kendrick (Bubba), John Robin Kendrick, Joel Ross Kendrick (Lynne), and Ronya Joy Johnson (Brad). Loving grandchildren are Shannon (Heather), Sean (Brittany), Hudson and Orian. Ron’s Great-grandchildren Zoey, Willow, Gideon, Aven, Harlyn and McKenzie were his delight.

Memorial service will be held at Highland Park Church of Christ, 600 Geneva Avenue,Muscle Shoals, AL, January 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., CST. Ben Hayes will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
