Johnnie Lynn Spears, 59, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, January 11, 2021, at his residence. Johnnie graduated from Kossuth High School and received a master’s degree in industrial engineering. He retired from Caterpillar where he worked as a master mechanic and electrician. Johnnie loved spending time with his family, and was a “fixer” who wanted to take care of others. He also enjoyed riding in his truck with the windows down. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Spears of Iuka; his mother, Geneva Spears of Corinth; two sons, Ethan Spears of Iuka, and John Spears of Guys, TN; four daughters, Kailynn Spears of Iuka, Jayda Spears of Iuka, Brittany Berry of Corinth, and Heather Jackson; two sisters, Bonnie Gilmore and Polly Dunn, both of Corinth; eight grandchildren; and a special friend he considered as a brother, Jerry Wilemon of Iuka. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Spears; and a brother, Louis Spears. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, at Greater Life United Pentecostal Church, officiated by Bro. Tommy Callahan. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Justin Clark, Channing Quick, Josh Berry, Jackie Farr, and Andrew Harp. Public visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, at Greater Life United Pentecostal Church. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
