Donella Quinn Tounzen Kearney age 88 of Athens, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Athens Health and Rehab.
Ms. Kearney was born January 16, 1932 , in El Centro, California to Dennis Hall Quinn and Ella Belle Cole Quinn.
Donella was a resident of Athens and Limestone County over 30 years. She worked in office management and insurance until her retirement in 1987.
Donella loved Country-Western music and dancing in her younger years. Throughout her life, she was a fan of prospecting in the deserts of the southwest, antiquing, researching genealogy; singing with her children and grandchildren; rescuing animals; and pampering her beloved cats. She traveled the U.S. extensively in her retirement years.
Survived by her three children: Sharon Tounzen (Rob Olmstead) of Ruskin, FL; Sheila Tounzen of Tallahassee FL; Albert “Skip” (Tara) Tounzen, III, of Decatur, AL; grandchildren Chandra (John) Holland of Athens, AL; James (Heather) Beck of Harriman, TN; Kristie (Garry) Dietzman of Camas, WA; Alleson Malone of Athens AL; Leslee Davis of Athens, AL; Jenny Bonner of Vernon, FL; Tammy Bonner of Athens, AL; Michael (Joslyn) Lawrence of Red Bluff, CA; Jered (Adrienne) Lawrence of Redding, CA; Autumn (Brian) Murphree of Joppa, AL; Nathan Tounzen of Decatur,AL; Morina Tounzen of Decatur, AL; twenty two great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
Donella was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Joanne Marlin and Irma Young; four brothers: Hugh, Lyle, Eris and Billie Quinn.
