Shirley Dean Miller, 82 of Athens, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Madison Hospital. Mrs. Miller was born on April 10th, 1938 to Jesse Earl Long and Gertrude Daniel Long.
She is survived by her sons Lynn Miller and wife Chris and Larry Miller and wife Karen. Grandchildren Jing Teng, Rebecca Miller, Elizabeth Bentley, and Austin Miller.
Preceded in death by her husband Ronald Miller, her parents, and brothers Jesse Earl Long Jr. and Walter Thomas Long.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be on Monday January 11th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Klein officiating. Visitation will be Sunday January 10th, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller loved flowers and gardening. She was also a natural born caretaker from her career as a nurse to her devotion to her husband and family. But her greatest joy was her faithful service to the Lord. She was a longtime member of the Eastside Church of Christ and dearly loved her spiritual family.
