On Thursday, January 7th, Marcia Cohen Brewer passed away at the age of 84.
Marcia was born on February 18, 1936 in Baltimore, MD to Samuel and Mollie Kogan. In 1957, she met and fell in love with Ken Brewer. They were married for 33 years until his death in 1992.
Marcia, a three-time breast cancer survivor, volunteered her time at the Huntsville Hospital gift shop for many years. She enjoyed travel, Hallmark movies and anything from a good Jewish deli, but she was happiest when spending time with her three children, seven grandchildren and great grandchild.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mollie Kogan, her brother, Allan Kogan, her husband, Ken Brewer, and her son-in-law, Thomas Christopher Cooper. She is survived by her three children, Stephen Brewer, Linda Brewer Cooper and Shelli Brewer Daley, her son-in-law, Daniel Daley, her grandsons, Derek, Matthew and Jonathan Brewer, her granddaughters, Maggie Daley Pittman, Kate, Caroline and Sloane Daley, her grandson-in-law, Josh Pittman, and her great-grandson, Reid Pittman.
A private funeral service was held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kids to Love (kidstolove.org) in Marcia’s memory.
