One Person Dead Child Injured In Two -Vehicle Accident

MOULTON-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued a statement on Friday, January 8 concerning the death of one person that occurred in a two-vehicle accident near Moulton:

“A two-vehicle crash at approximately 7:05 a.m. Thursday, January 7,  has claimed the life of a Trinity woman and injured one passenger.

Carly Dunlap, 26,  was killed when the 2016 Toyota 4Runner she was driving failed to yield the right away from a stop sign to a 2009 Kenworth tractor-trailer. Dunlap was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, a child, was air-lifted to a hospital in Birmingham.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Lawrence County 213 and Alabama 157, approximately three and a half miles southeast of Moulton. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
