Irvin Brannon Jr., passed away on January 4, 2021. He was a loving brother and uncle who never met a stranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a good joke to tell. He worked as a security guard in Addison and at the corporate offices of Parisians in Birmingham. He sold singer sewing machines for many years and took pride in his sewing abilities. He was a man of many talents and gifts and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Irvin had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed attending his local church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 3-5pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10am at Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, Tennessee. The family is requesting that all visitors attending visitation or graveside services, please wear a mask due to the risk of contracting Covid-19 and also practice safe social distancing to protect everyone in attendance.

Irvin is survived by his brother, Wyndell Gene “Buckshot” Brannon; nephews, Donald Robert Brannon, David Brannon, Dennis Brannon, and Wyndell Gene “Booshot” Brannon; and nieces, Annette Womble, Veronica Adams, Cynthia Forman Wilkinson, and Melissa Niedergeses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Engram Brannon and Irene Orton Brannon; brother, Donald Brannon; and sisters, Era Mae Adams and Dolores B. Forman.
