Mr. Roy J. Duquette Roy John Duquette, 64, of Arab, AL, passed away on the morning of January 3, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children at the time of his passing.

He was born to parents, the late Albert and Evelyn Duquette, on April 18, 1956 in Malone, New York. Roy was a graduate of Franklin Academy High School.

He was married to the love of his life, the late Lorrie Duquette. Roy is survived by his children; Jessica Watts and her husband, Brad; Kory Duquette and his wife, April; and Jason Duquette and his wife, Lindsay. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Mitchell Duquette, Josie Duquette, Jakob Duquette, Lukas Duquette, Ben Watts, and Josh Watts; and his sisters, Florence LaRock, Carol Wood, and Anna Stafford.

Roy was best known for his giant personality and his deep love of family and friends, both near and far. He was often referred to as the “glue” in his family. Heloved family gatherings andloved supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors. He and his late wife, Lorrie, were also avid campers. He loved spending time in the outdoors and socializing with his “camp family”.

Due to the current pandemic,hisburial service and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family requests that people make donations in support of the National Cancer Society, in lieu of sending flowers.
