TONEY-On Saturday, January 2 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a pedestrian was struck near Toney, Alabama and has suffered injuries requiring hospitalization:
“A one-vehicle crash at approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday, January 1, has left a Huntsville woman injured.
Pedestrian Sara Laverne Barker, 25, was injured as she attempted to run across the roadway and was struck by a 2018 Toyota Avalon. Barker was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 53 near Shady Grove Road, approximately two miles north of Toney. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
