Wayne Butler Wayne L. Butler, 86 of Anderson, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.

A private family graveside will be held in Butler Cemetery. James Waddell will be officiating.

Wayne was a retired ironworker with TVA/Browns Ferry and former owner of the Spur Station in Rogersville, Alabama. He was a deacon and a member of First Baptist Church, Anderson for over 50 years. He enjoyed golf and exercise, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kind, humble spirit and his servant’s heart.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Wee and Mary Lela Butler; brothers, W.P. Butler, Charles Butler and Loyd Kenneth Butler; sisters, Agnes Mason, Darlene Carriveau, Edith Mae Butler; and wives, Katrina Johnson Butler, Nell Tays. He spent 53 years married to Katrina Johnson Butler until her passing. The last six years of his life were spent with his wife, Nell Tays. He is survived by his children, Byron (Shelia) Butler, Beverly (Bobby) Coke, Alisa (John) McGlasson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Adrian Lynn (Janice) Butler; sister, Maejean Hughes and Nadean (Hullet) Lemay; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
