Ms. Virginia Arelene VanzandtMs. Virginia Arelene Vanzandt of Arab, Alabama; passed away on Thursday – December 24, 2020 at the age of 73 years.
Ms. Vanzandt was born on March 6, 1946 to the late Jera Lea Millwood and Thelma Arlene Griffin in Holly Pond, Alabama. Ms. Vanzandt is a retired employee of SCI where she worked on their load-line. She was described by many as selfless and compassionate as she devoted her life to caring for tohers and helping those in need; she was very strong in her faith as she attended the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church for the majority of her lifetime.
Ms. Vanzandt will be forever remembered by her beloved sons, Terry Lee Martin, Randy Lynn Martin, Jimmy Ray Martin and Ricky Dale Martin; daughter, Paula Bryan (Randy); grandchildren, Dylan Martin, Chris Martin, Shelly Moore, Ashley Pate, Candy Culpeper, Justin Martin and Delana Martin; great grandchildren, Hayden Carter, Mavrick Moore, Linnsey Martin, James Martin, Brandi Martin, Nicholas Lamons and Phoenix Pate; as well as a slew of step- great grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved parents, Ms. Vanzandt is at last reunited with her beloved husband; Alton Vanzandt; son, Gary LaWayne; grandchildren, Brandon Martin; great grandchild, Isabella Carter.
A Graveside Service and Interment will take place at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday – December 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
