Suspended Chief’s Civil Service Hearing set for January 17th

SHEFFIELD – Greg Ray, suspended from his job as Chief of Police will have his Civil Service hearing on January 17th. Ray was asked to resign by Mayor Ian Sanford in October because of his alleged failures to perform his required duties. Ray refused to quit and instead asked for a Civil Service hearing on the matter.

The case was originally scheduled for December 13, however due to illness, it was rescheduled to this new time.

The hearing is open to the public.
