Matthew Craig Ramsey, 35 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital.
Matthew was born January 6, 1985 in Morgan County to Tony Ramsey and Edwina Craig. He served for one year in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Joan Craig and Betty Ramsey, one uncle, Tim Craig, and one cousin, Austin Craig Thomas.
Survivors include his mother, Edwina Craig (Mitch); his father Tony Ramsey and step-mother, Danita; two grandparents, Allen B. Craig and Glenn Ramsey, one half-brother, Austin Ramsey; one step-brother, Kyle Taylor and family; four aunts, Anita Taylor (Steve); Lisa Brooks (Dwight); Debbie Hoosier; Connie Elmore (Ricky); one uncle, Paul Ramsey; cousins, Dusti Johnson (Craig); Kristi Gretke (Scott); Kimberly Taylor; Craig Taylor (Kelsey); Alyssa Thomas; Hannah Hoosier; Garron Hoosier; and a host of extended family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
