Billy Gwen Winston, age 76 of Athens, passed away Wednesday December 23, 2020.
Agraveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday December 28, 2020, at Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Winston is survived by his sons, Douglas Pentecost, and Tony Pentecost (Faynisha); grandchildren, David Pentecost, and Mary Pentecost Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ashton Atkins, Caleb Lee Jackson, and Noah James Jackson; sister, Ann Jackson (Jesse); and special friends, Debi and Harry Trumble.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; and his parents, Victor and Grace Winston.
Mr. Winston was a veteran on the Navy, serving aboard a destroyer (or what he called a “Tin Can”), from 1961 until 1967. He retired, after many years, from the State Park Service. He was well loved and taken care of by his family, and will be missed dearly.
