Gayla Moore Perkins, 56, of Florence, passed away November 28, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her family meant everything to her and she would have done absolutely anything to help that family. Her husband, kids, and grandkids were her entire world and spent her life loving each one unconditionally. Gayla didn’t work outside of her home but she offered child care, when her children were young, to many children that grew up so much better for having her loving influence in their life. She loved every child that she cared for like they were her own and treated them as such.

A private family graveside service will be Monday, November 30, 2020 in Greenview Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Sonny Owens.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ivadell Darby Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ricky Perkins; daughter, Jennifer Perkins; son, Heath Perkins; granddaughters, Kylee Perkins and Kaylee Nobles; brother, Bobby Moore (Pam); sisters, Pat Cox, and Melissa Darby (Blair); ; father and mother-in-law, H.C. and Cheryl Perkins; brother-in-law, Randy Perkins (Melanie); and many nieces and nephews.

Gayla will be missed greatly by everyone that loved her and this world was a much better place because of her.
