Margie Childress Fischer, age 74, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. Margie was born November 12, 1946 in Lawrence County, TN to the late James E. Childress and Floyce Kincaid Childress.
Margie has always had a caring nature. She taught at Ethridge Elementary School for over 35 years. She loved and cared deeply for all of the children that she guided. She was a woman of enduring strength and patience. A faithful woman dedicated to diligently studying her Bible. Margie was a voracious reader; her office is filled with all of the words she has read over the years. She was a caring selfless person whom is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Margie is survived by her husband: Richard Fischer; son: Micah Fischer; sister: Joan E. Childress; brothers and sisters in laws: Mike and Vickie Fischer, Jimmy Fischer, Jerry Fischer, Helen Tankersly, and Ruth Ann Elmy and numerous nieces and nephews. Margie is preceded in death by her daughter: Heather Fischer.
A graveside service for Margie will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests book donation to the Ethridge Elementary School Library be made in Margie’s name.
