William “Bill” Edward Eggleston, age 77, passed away on November 17, 2020 at Williamson Medical Center. He was a long-time resident of Columbia, TN.

Bill was born on February 23, 1943 to his loving parents, Cornelius Eggleston and Marion Dumas Eggleston, in Malone New York close to Canada. Bill was deft of hand and a craftsman at heart, an artist of many sorts. He was a skilled carpenter he loved to build things, he fashioned beautiful cabinetry. Besides his ability to create and build he also had musical inclinations and an ear for the piano even spending time in a band. He was able to sit down and hear often what others could not. He served his community as a member of the Bangor volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. Bill loved to camp and he did in “that old fashion way”. Above all else Bill was devoted to his family, he was a wonderful grandfather.

Bill’s life will be celebrated back in his home state of New York at a later date.

Bill leaves behind his loving wife Linda Eggleston; daughters: Pam (Mark) Garrand and Sheila (Joel) Jock; son: Bill (Kim) Eggleston; grandchildren: Melissa Garrand, Hayley Garrand, Matthew Eggleston, Amy Garrand, Natalie Eggleston, Emilie Eggleston, Elizabeth Eggleston and Christopher Eggleston; 3 great grandchildren; sister: Beverly Van Wie. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Eggleston and Donald Eggleston; sisters: Nancy Emond and Pat Eggleston.
