Lorene Stricklin Franks was born on February 25, 1926 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Ledford Stricklin and Flora Angeline Franks Stricklin.

On October 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Finis Franks, who preceded his wife in death on January 3, 2001.

Lorene lived in Hardin County, Tennessee all of her life. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, flowers, and gardening.

Lorene Stricklin Franks departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 94 years, 8 months, and 26 days.

She is survived by her sons, Howard Franks and his wife Wanda, Larry Franks and his wife Terrie, and Browny Franks, all of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Sandra McCarter and her husband Carl of Knoxville, Tennessee, Patsy Belle and her husband Larry of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Connie Franks of Ogilvie, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mairlou Franks Frederick; infant children, Lucy Ann Franks, David H. Franks, Robert Earl Franks, and Baby Boy Franks; sisters, Inez Stricklin, Pearl Hughes, Gladys Robbins, Polly Franks, Margaret Stricklin, and Betty Jean Stricklin; and brothers, Billy Stricklin, Jhon Henry Stricklin, Bobby Joe Stricklin, O.C. Stricklin, and George Stricklin.
