Larry was born December 11, 1937 – November 19, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his father Leamon Lester Pruett (Chick Pruett) and mother Ownie B. Pruett (Thomas).

He leaves behind a loving wife Sara Bates Pruett; sister, Lea Ellen Smith (Ronald); son, Christopher Bates Pruett; daughter, Kelly Smith (Heith); son, Joey Pruett; grand-daughters, Haylee Smith, Allison Pruett, Krystn Pruett; grandson, Bryant Pruett. He also leaves behind great granddaughter, Finley Jo Whitworth as well as a beloved pet whom he said was one of his best friends, Rudy.

An avid farmer, tractor trader and salesman, and a great friend to so many, Larry lived a great life and leaves behind an even greater impression on those who knew him. The first thoughts that come to mind when Larry Pruett’s name is heard is overalls, and a John Deere Hat. Larry was hard headed, extremely hard working, and loved his family with his whole heart. He also loved riding around, dirt track racing, watching basketball games, and of course, talking on his cell phone.  We always hear the saying that someone would “give the shirt off of their back to someone”, but for all who know Larry, know how truthful that is for him. He raised his 3 children along with so many others that weren’t blood related. Larry traveled all over the United States and even at almost 84 years, we could call him no matter where we were, and he would know the exact location, the road we were on, the roads we would travel on, and how far away we were from home. Of all of his trips and journeys, we believe his trip to Heaven to reunite with his mother and father will be his best one.
