FLORENCE– On Wednesday, November 18 The University of North Alabama helped Leo III with his 18th birthday celebration at the George H. Carroll Lion Habitat on the UNA campus. The celebration included a memorialization to Leo’s sister, Una, the first lioness to live in the habitat.
The veterinarians who attend Leo, Dr. Matt Connolly and Dr. Brandon Fisher presented the urn with Una’s ashes to Dr. Ken Kitts for a place of honor near the lion habitat.
