Accidents In Blount And Etowah Counties Leave Two Dead

BLOUNT, ETOWAH – On Sunday, November 15 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports accidents in Blount And Etowah Counties that have taken the lives of two people and injured three other people:

“Gadsden Post—A two-vehicle crash at 8:16 a.m. on Sunday, November 15, has claimed the life of an unidentified  man. 

A 2005 Nissan Armada struck the back of a Reece City fire truck killing a passenger of the Nissan.  The unidentified male was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two other passengers were taken from the scene for treatment and have yet to be positively identified.   

The crash occurred on Interstate 59 at the 195 mile marker, six miles north of Gadsden. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”

“Decatur Post—A single-vehicle crash at 10:30 p.m. Friday, November 13, has claimed the life of an Oneonta woman.

Pamela Nugent Hogland, 60, was killed when the 2008 Mazda 3 she was operating left the roadway and overturned in a creek. Hogland was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on AL 79 near Payton Lane, approximately one mile south of Locust Fork. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
