Graveside Service for Mrs. Classie Mae Peebles, 97 of Madison, Alabama will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery with the Reverend James Robinson officiating. Public viewing will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mrs. Classie Wright Peebles was born March 2, 1922 to Josh Wright and Priscilla Woodruff Wright.

She confessed hope in Christ and joined Mt. Zion C.P. Church in America where she served joyfully as an Usher. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star until her health failed.  She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Egbert Peebles, Jr. for 63 years.

Mrs. Classie held several jobs until she retired from Huntsville International Jetplex.  She loved Mooresville, people, and enjoyed helping others.

She peacefully transitioned from this earthly realm to her eternal heavenly home on November 9, 2020 at Madison Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Egbert Peebles, Jr.,one son, Josh Russell, two sisters, Thelma Harris and Sara Hill, brother, James Wright, and niece Priscilla Blow.

Her memory will be cherished by: a devoted grandson, Ralph Lanier, Triana, AL, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, Richard (Connie) Peebles, Harvest, AL; Sallie Peebles, Triana, AL;  nieces and nephews, Leon (Diane) Harris, Town Creek, AL, Brenda (George) Carthen, Johnny (Charrian) Harris;  Michael Harris, Gregory Harris, Decatur, AL; Angie Wright Bush (Chattanooga, TN). A special great nephew Ricky Blow, Houston, TX.  A host of other relatives and friends.  Two caregivers, Carolyn Freeman and Alfred Rainey.
