Sandra Elaine Compton Sandra Elaine Whitworth Compton passed away Tuesday morning, November 10th, 2020, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on May 17th, 1938 and was 82 years old.

Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired from Maramont Gabriel after 27 years. She loved jigsaw puzzles, word searches, game shows, and love to spend time with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing card games with her sisters. She was an excellent cook, had a huge heart, and loved to send cards to people to cheer them up. Elaine had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people happy. She loved her family and made great sacrifices for them.

Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:30 Friday, November 13th, 2020, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Maplewood Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Della Mae Pierce Whitworth, Sr. Sisters, Julia “JuJu” Whitworth, Betty Jean Hastings, Mary “Sister” Crabtree, and Beverly Sue Woodard. Brothers, Troy Whitworth, William Whitworth, and Perry Whitworth. Sister-in law’s, Wynell Whitworth, Katherine Whitworth, and Sue Whitworth. Brother-in-law’s, Stokely Crabtree, Joe Taylor, Billy Hastings, Wayne White, and Dempsey Holder. Nephew, Joseph Anthony “Tony” Woodard.

She is survived by;
Daughter, Candice Compton of Dickson, Tennessee.
Daughter, Criselle Compton of Fayetteville, Tennessee.
Daughter, Crystal Bowers of Lewisburg, Tennessee.
Sisters, Faye Taylor of Pulaski and Rebecca Holder of Lawrenceburg.
Brother-in-law, Joe Woodard of Lynnville, Tennessee.
2 Grandchildren
4 Great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
