Funeral service for Mr. Charles Ray Hensley, age 66, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Ray was born on March 1, 1954 in Marshall County to the late Charles Marion and Marie Wilkes Hensley. He retired from Goodman Manufacturing. Mr. Hensley loved sports and was was one of the biggest UT fans around from his clothes to his car, there was no doubt who he supported. He also enjoyed keeping score for the local high school and Fayetteville, Jr. High teams. Ray was a member of the Mimosa Church of Christ. Mr. Hensley passed away on November 7, 2020 at Lincoln Medical Center.
Survivors include his sister, Charla Kay Hensley of Fayetteville; nieces, Tangela Warren and Christie Williams; great-nephews, Tyler Williams and Jayden Warren; aunt, Shirley Ann Sharp of Lewisburg; and his beloved dogs, Smokey, Baby, and Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Wilkes Hensley.
