Priscilla Adeline Cornett, 95 of Athens, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Cornett was born June 20, 1925 in Lauderdale County to Jim Henry Burks and Barbara Hollander Burks. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Malcolm Cornett, two daughters, Patricia Sue Coffman and Jean Mingee, one grandchild, Dody Cornett, and one great-granddaughter, Tiffany Coffman.
Survivors include one son Butch Cornett (Treva) of Athens; one daughter, Henrietta Morrison (Frank Thorne) of Athens; one sister, Lillie Thomas of Milwaukee, WI; four grandchildren, Virginia Jane Thorne (Heath) of Athens; Kristie Woods (Adam) of Danville; Rebecca McGee of Town Creek; Freddy Coffman (Sissy) of Decatur; four great-grandchildren, David and Andrew Woods of Danville; Christopher McGee of Town Creek; and Autumn Coffman.
There will be a graveside service Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery.
