Single-Vehicle Accident Near Athens Takes Life Of Tennessee Man

ATHENS-On Tuesday, November 3 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a single-vehicle accident near Athens that has taken the life of a Tennessee man:

“A one-vehicle crash at approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, has claimed the life of a Tennessee man.

Donald J. Woodard, 40, was killed when the 2007 Honda Civic he was driving left the roadway and struck a ditch. Woodard, who was using his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 99 near West Limestone Road, approximately 10 miles north of Athens. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
