Mr. George Marion Helms Mr. George Marion Helms of Union Grove, Alabama; passed away on Wednesday – October 28, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center’s North at the age of 81 years.
Mr. Helms was born on February 27, 1939 to Anderson Tidwell Helms and Estelle Westbrook Helms in Marshall County, Alabama. Mr. Helms was a retired Machine Repair Specialist with Chrysler. He was an active member and Deacon of the Highland Baptist Church in Morgan City. Hobbies included; spending time with family and friends, working in the shop and building things for his family and friends, taking his great grandchildren for rids on the tractor, watching RFD TV, and reading his bible.
Mr. Helms will be forever remembered by his daughter, Sherry Helms Nin (Manuel); brother, Wendell Helms (Vilma); grandchildren, Joshua K. Cavender, Zachary A. Cavender (Jessica) and Antonio A. Nin; great grandchildren, Case A. Cavender and Camille E. Cavender.
In addition to his beloved parents; Anderson Tidwell Helms and Estelle Westbrook Helms, Mr. Helms is at last reunited with his wife, Mary Annette Gosa Helms; son, Michael Keith Helms; brother, William Helms and sister, Lois Ann Helms Garrett.
A Visitation will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home on Monday – November 2, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
Funeral Services will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home on Monday – November 23, 2020 starting at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Freddie Childs and Bro. Craye Hall, officiating.
Interment will proceed services immediately at the Highland Cemetery will pallbearers; Joshua Cavender, Zachary Cavender, Antonio Nin, John Helms, Will Black and Billy Stegers escorting Mr. Helms to his final resting place.
Honorary pallbearers will include; Manuel Nin and Rickey Garrett.
In Liue of Flowers; the Family of Mr. Helms has requested that donations be made to thre Highland Baptist church and to the Helms Memorial Fund at 23 Highland Avenue Lacey’s Spring, Alabama – 35754.
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting the family with no services to announce at this time.
