Mr. Roy “Doodle Bug” Taylor Douglas, 70, passed away Thursday October 29, 2020 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born in Pikeville, Tennessee on December 1, 1949 to Taylor Eugene Douglas and Geraldine Gleen Douglas who preceded him in death along with his grandparents, Calvin and Mollie Glenn; wife, Alice Holland Douglas; brother, Don Douglas; grandson, Elijah George; daughter in law, Casey Douglas.
He was a US Army veteran and of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his sons, Zeb and Jon Douglas; daughters, Jennifer (David) King, Heather (Rich) Miller, Tawana (Shane) Clack and Hannah Douglas; 24 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the Layne Funeral Home chapel with Minister Wayne Sullivan officiating with burial to follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Spencer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
