Jack Knowles,94, passed away in Crestwood Hospital Sunday, October 25 after a short illness.  Mr. Knowles is preceded in death by his mother Lela Knowles, father Beecher Knowles and sister Lucille Knowles.

He is survived by his wife Janie Knowles, daughter Debi Alexander & husband John, son Larry Knowles & wife Cyndee, grandchildren Brad Alexander, Myranda Alexander Keeley Alexander, Loran Knowles, Kaytlyn Wilkes & husband Jason, and great grandchildren Clarke, Schaffer and Ellison Wilkes.

Jack proudly served in the Navy during World War II and retired from NASA where he worked for many years.  During his time at NASA he received an award from Werner Von Braun for the invention of a tool used during the 1960’s space program.

He loved his family, was fondly known as Boompa by his grandchildren and Mr. Jack by his friends.  His lighthearted sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.

For the health and safety of everyone due to Covid 19, there will be a private graveside service for immediate family and a public memorial service to be announced at a later date.
