Hollis Palmer, 76, died Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Itawamba County, MS to William “Will” and Zera Shotts Palmer. He was a truck driver and member of Providence Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 28, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Terry Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Shady Valley Cemetery, Tremont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by two children-Ricky Wayne Palmer and Sonya Ivy (Brad); four grandchildren-Jonathan Williams, Nicole Rayburn (Tommy), Paige Thorne and Emily Palmer; special great-grandson-Caseyn Rayburn; five great-grandchildren-Peyton, Isla, Lane, Braxley and Sadie; three sisters-Nellie, Bertha and Jean.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife-Nina Jeanette Palmer and four brothers-Junior, Buddy, Jimmy and Robert.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
