Graveside Services for Mr. Ronny Gardner, age 57 of Kellyton, were held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Epperson officiating.
Mr. Gardner passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Born in Clay County, Mr. Gardner has spent most of his life in Clay County, but the last 25 years in Kellyton. He worked at Russell Mills for some time, as well as a few other jobs. He loved to go horseback riding, fish, and enjoyed just being outside. Mr. Gardner liked to watch Nascar whenever it was on TV, rooted for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and enjoyed bird hunting in his spare time.
Mr. Gardner is survived by four brothers: Charles Gardner, John Gardner (Karen), James Gardner (Shirley), and Wade Champion, all of Goodwater; plus several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Herbert Champion and Ruby Alene Baird, and one great nephew, Bradley Clifton.
Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Clifton, Cody Gardner, James Gardner, Alex Baird, Scott Baird, and Huey Baird.
